The pandemic might have put a stop to many of our chores but there is no stop to innovative and new thoughts. There is always a volcano of ideas ready to burst in a student’s mind. To help the students give a shape to their thoughts the E-Cell of our college organized a webinar for the aspiring entrepreneurs to gain more knowledge about various stages of startups. Some well-known entrepreneurs who had excelled in their respective fields were invited to guide the students more about startups.
The first guest speaker was Mr. Anand Gharpure. He is the owner of Sonic Multitech Pvt Ltd. He is an awardee of IETE-Flt Lt Tanmany Dandass Memorial Award 2015 for Design & Development of Avionics for MiG-27 Vibration Measurement. He runs the Avionics Development company in Nashik which caters to Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Army. He guided students on various basics of beginning a startup like terms, various challenges faced by upcoming entrepreneurs regarding various issues.
The next guest speaker was Mr. Kalpit Bhagat. He is the founder and owner of World Voyager, a tours and transport service. He has received various awards in marketing by his institute and other companies. His entrepreneurial mind and spirit could not be let down by the lockdown and he came up with a new startup which provided healthcare products to people. He talked about how he came up with the idea of his startup while arranging a trip for a group of people.
The last guest speaker was Mr. Abhay Phansikar. He works as a Corporate Strategy & Technology Consultant at Azilen Technologies. He is also a mentor at StartupBootCamp which is one of the top 3 global accelerators for startups. He educated the students about how a startup should be established, what makes a startup and various problems which one can face after the startup has been established. He also provided ways by which many problems could be solved and some dos and don’ts for a startup.
With so much information delivered to the students, it obviously gave rise to many queries in the minds of the students which all the speakers were happy to clarify. The students left with more than just information, they left with an experience they had never imagined.
