Absolutely mind-boggling, insane and electrifying atmosphere is probably the best one-liner to describe the Fresher’s Night 2022.
To commemorate the first step of the FEs in the prestigious institute of S.P.I.T, the Students’ Council organized a Fresher’s party on 16th March 2022 at the S.P.C.E. Quadrangle. If you were to believe all the eye-witnesses that day, nobody could have claimed to feel the tremendous energy and the magnificent aura around that night ever before. However, the importance to win the Fresher’s Dance and Music competitions were even higher this year as all these points were later to be added to the SPirit Leaderboard.
The Fresher’s Night began with the Music Competition, wherein all the talented chaps from each division had to battle it out with other fellow FEs to reign their division’s supremacy. After plenty of melodious tunes and some crazy cheering, the AI-ML Division emerged victorious.
This was followed by the solo performances for Mr and Ms Freshers, wherein each division had a representative, a boy and a girl, to fight it out for the coveted title of Mr and Ms Fresher. Pratham Jain flaunted his amazing dance skills and was eventually crowned as Mr Freshers, while Parnika Tiwari was crowned as Miss Freshers.
Finally, the day ended with the most awaited competition of all, the Group Dance Competition. The intensity of spectators hadn’t died out a bit as they continually kept cheering for their respective classes. From “Comps A-Comps A” to “EXTC-EXTC” the sound echoed around the whole of Quadrangle. The students were at their absolute best, ready to give their all. One would feel lucky at that moment to not have been the judge since the decision to choose one winner would have been extremely difficult. Such was the preparedness of each and every team. However, by the finest margins, the DS department emerged victorious.
A memorable moment was when all students were trying to capture this serene occasion in their cameras, taking selfies with their friends and making this night eternal. Fresher’s night was something serious!
