Trump and his government in the US so far have not been short of controversies. One of his recent moves of making the white house employees sign a non-disclosure agreement has made the world suspicious of his actions now more than ever. If he has nothing to hide then why the secrecy?
Trump’s stand on global warming is a subject of global mockery. He believes it to be a hoax. He even pulled the US out of the Paris climate agreement, a deal involving over 200 countries. This stunt cannot hide the fact that the US is the second largest emitter of carbon worldwide.
Even after a lot of prodding, Trump still refuses to disclose his tax returns. He keeps trying to cover up numerous sexual harassment charges against him. His new visa policy has affected not just the workforce, but also the domestic economy. His intolerance towards immigrants seems to be driven by his racist propaganda hiding under the façade of ‘America first’. Trump’s lack of regard for diplomacy is weakening foreign relations for the US. Not to mention the number of times his actions and remarks towards other global leaders have made the world condemn him. Trump’s tweets, albeit quick to insult others, never substantiate his intentions with actual facts and action plan.
Trump’s so-called friendship with Putin damaged his reputation even further when the Russian Government was accused of helping to hack the 2016 presidential elections and wrongly sway people in the favour of Trump by portraying Hilary Clinton in a negative light.
What Trump doesn’t realize is that his term as the president will soon end. His decisions, however, will have long-lasting consequences that are leading the US towards its doom.
What about the future of the United States? We need answers, Mr. President. What are you hiding?
